How this works

Cities publish building permits as public records. Some publish them as live data feeds that include the contractor of record. Who Pulled It reads those feeds nightly, classifies each permit by trade from the city's own permit type and description, and groups permits by contractor name.

Counts are permits on record, not jobs completed or quality of work. A company can appear under several name variants; claimed listings get merged. If a listing is wrong, email hello@dynamicheightsdigital.com and we correct it from the source.
